Join award-winning author and historian, Dr. Cynthia E. Orozco (Professor Emeritus in History & Humanities, Eastern New Mexico University, Ruidoso), as she reexamines conventional narratives surrounding the League of United Latin-American Citizens (LULAC). Dr. Orozco explores LULAC’s history and role in the Mexican American civil rights movement with particular emphasis on Texas Coastal Bend activities, and recasts LULAC at the forefront of civil rights movements in America. Orozco is the National LULAC Historian.
