People of the Texas Gulf Coast: The Karankawa in History and Material Culture

The Karankawa lived on the central coast of Texas, from Galveston to Corpus Christi, during the Late Prehistoric period until the 1800s. Amanda Lanum shares a brief history of the Karankawa people and explores Karankawa artifacts that are stored and displayed at MCB. Lanum is Educational Coordinator at the Museum of the Coastal Bend and has her Master’s degree in History from the University of West Florida. Free and open to the public.
